Ethel L. Echard 78, of Chillicothe, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born June 18, 1934 in Ross County the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Williamson Chaney. She married James W. Echard, Sr. who died in July of 1976.

Ethel is survived by her children, David Lee Campbell of KY, Charles L. “Pudge” Campbell, John Michael Campbell, Michael Ray Echard and Tara Elaine Jones all of Chillicothe; stepchildren, Louise Conley of Bainbridge, James Echard of Chillicothe and Eugene Echard of Frankfort; 18 grand and step grandchildren and several great grand and step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel was preceded in death by infant twin sons, three sisters, four brothers and three stepdaughters.

Ethel attended Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Christian Union, Chillicothe, where the services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, March 12, 2013 with Rev. Don Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 am until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church.
