Dorothy L. Owsley, 88, of Lebanon, formerly of Washington C.H., passed away at her residence in Lebanon on March 5, 2013. She was born November 3, 1924 in Lucasville, Ohio to the late William E. and Sarah Benner Long. She was married to Joshua B. Owsley Sr. who precedes her in death.
She was a member of The Heritage Memorial Church. Dorothy was a press operator for the General Motors Company until her retirement in 1983.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her five brothers Harold, Ralph, Lawrence, Homer and Roy Long and three sisters Margaret Dillard, Mary Cathryn and Lola Lorane Long.
She is survived by her son, Joshua (Cathy) Owsley of Lebanon, three sisters, Nellie Scaggs, Wilma Allison and Jane (Don) Elliott all of Washington C.H. Mrs. Owsley is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Retherford of Asheville, Heather Owsley of Madison IN and Matthew Owsley of Lebanon, and many beloved nieces and nephews, known as Aunt DoDo.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday March 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Morrow Funeral Home in Washington C.H with Pastor Bruce Morrison officiating. Burial will be in the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
