Florence Elizabeth King, age 85, of Hillsboro, formerly of Lynchburg, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Heartland of Hillsboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 6, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Arthur and Laura Francis Good. She is survived by her daughter, Mary and her husband Gary West of Allensburg; sons Wayne and his wife Jennifer King of Wilmington, and Ed and his wife Edna Mae King of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter-in-law Sharon Leslie of New Vienna; grandchildren, David King, Jamie (Tim) Patten, Michael King, Tim (Kristin) King, Jason (Tera) West, Matt (Amy) West, Brenton (Shanna) West, Alisa (Rikk) Brown, Katie (Greg) Haines, and Lauren King; and great grandchildren, Joshua King, Erin King, Josiah Patten, Elijah Patten, Hannah Patten, Grace Patten, Joshua Patten, Triston West, Landon West, Braedon West, Addison West, Jackson West, Lillian West, Circe King-Brown, Olivia Haines, Zavier Haines, and David King. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Russell King, April 12, 1987; son David King; grandson James King; sisters Janet Vanzant and Mary Anna Harner; and brother Francis Good. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Bob Stevens of the Allensburg Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow in the Harwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 at the funeral home.
