Linda Sue Chaney, 54, Wilmington died February 25, 2013 at Clinton Memorial Hospital surrounded by the family she loved.  She was born April 19, 1958 in Washington Court House, the daughter of Wayne and Charlotte Cook Rhoades.  She attended schools in Wilmington, Highland and Leesburg and until recently lived in Highland, Ohio. 

Until her disability, most of her employment years were with Head Start and home care positions.  Her passions were her family, her dogs and Bible reading.

Linda was always reminding her family she loved them and is survived by her daughter, Jenifer Priest Michael of Springfield; four grandchildren Jeffrey “Dylan”, Shelby and Sydney Michael of Sabina and Rachelle Priest of South Salem and daughter –in-law Kara Murphy Priest of South Salem.  Her mother, Charlotte, survives as well as three sisters, Vicki (William) Temple, Patricia Rhoades and Barbara Rhoades, all of Wilmington.  She is also survived by her fiancé Rick Barnes, Wilmington.  Linda was preceded in death by her son, David Scot Priest, her father, Wayne and a brother, Barry Wayne Rhoades.

The funeral service will be held on Friday at 1PM at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina with Dale McCamish officiating with burial in the New Antioch Cemetery. 
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 until 8PM at the funeral home.  Due to her passion for stray dogs, memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society, PO Box 1024, Wilmington 45177.  Linda would also want to remind you to tell your family and friends you love them every chance you get.
