Barbara Jean Mitchell, 71, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 31, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born in Jamestown, Ohio on April 13, 1941 the daughter of the late Richard Garringer and the late Betty Merritt Garringer Penwell. She lived in Sabina most of her life. She retired from the Frostie Restaurant. She was an animal lover and leaves behind her dog “Buster”. She is survived by her daughters Marsha Mitchell, with whom she made her home and Michele (Kenny) Burdette, New Vienna, her grandchildren Bruce Bartruff, Leslie Cockrill Simpson, Kaylea Burdette, Desirae (Austin) Maxwell, Jeanne Mitchell, Casey (Jason) Lilly and Amber Mitchell, 13 great grandchildren and one brother Gale “Shorty” (Patty) Garringer, Washington CH. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Littleton Funeral Home at 1PM with burial in the Sabina Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 11 until 1PM.
