E. Ray Glasgow, 93, of Frankfort, died at 7:35 A.M., on Monday, January 14, 2013 at

the Vineyards at Concord, Frankfort. He was born in Cincinnati on October 27, 1919,

the son of the late Elmer Ray and Ida Schreck Glasgow. On February 12, 1942 he

married the former Marjorie Ann Eschenbach, and in 2012 they celebrated their 70th

wedding anniversary together.

 

Surviving Ray is wife, Marjorie Glasgow, his sister Anita Briggs, his five children; Kathy

(Bahman) Lotfi of Arroyo Grande CA, Anita Glasgow of San Diego CA, Jeanne Glasgow

of Nokomis FL, Debbie (Ken) Champagne of Chillicothe, Terry (Laurel) Glasgow of

Las Vegas NV, seven grandchildren; Kamran Lotfi, Marjorie Gill, Eric Gallite, Brandon

Gallite, Robin Gallite, Dana Esham, Jessica Glasgow, nine great-grandchildren; Peter,

Madeleine, Florence, John, Carson, Mila, Lauren, Samantha, Eli, and numerous nieces

and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister; Marianne Edwards, and one

brother; Leo Glasgow.

 

Ray graduated from Anderson Township High School. He served in the United States

Army during World War II. Ray retired from working at Williamson Heating Co., having

been a salesman. Ray was named salesman of the year in 1969. He was an avid golfer

at the Chillicothe Jaycee Golf Course, and he and his wife loved to play bridge. Ray

attended Frankfort United Methodist Church and was a member of the Frankfort Lions

Club.

 

In keeping with Ray's wishes, cremation will take place. Calling hours will not be held,

but a memorial service will be held at 1:00P.M. Wednesday for friends and family at

Ebright Funeral Home. Burial of the cremains will follow after in Greenlawn Cemetery,

Frankfort where military honors will be accorded by the Joseph Ellsworth White Post
