Susan Elizabeth Skiver, 94, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Monday, January 7, 2013, at 9:52 p.m. at the Country Glenn Nursing and Therapy Center where she had been residing the past five years.
Mrs. Skiver was born November 23, 1918, at LaRue in Marion County, Ohio to Jerry and Wynonna Brown Amrine. She lived most of her life in Mount Sterling before moving to Washington Court House in 1988.
She formerly was an aide at the Orient State Institute and then worked at Thompson Industries in Mount Sterling.
Mrs. Skiver was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Davis in 1967 and Charles "Jake" Skiver in 1987.
She is survived by three children, Joy Honaker and her husband, Ron, of Washington Court House, Paul Davis and his wife, SueEllen, of Grove City and Betty Waters of Wauchula, FL; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a half brother, Kenneth Amrine and his wife, Joann, of Urbana.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Cemetery near Mount Sterling with the Rev. Joe Current, pastor at the First Baptist Church, officiating.
Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House Thursday from 6-8 p.m.
