Woodrow Lewis, 85, of Clarksburg, died on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe following an extended illness. He was born on Jan. 3, 1928 at Newfoundland, KY, the son of the late Jerry and Lorena Wagoner Lewis. On March 19, 1955 he married Edith McCaslin who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters; Brenda Lambdin of Medway, OH, Sandra Morsch of Fairfield, OH, Cheryl Dugan of Clarksburg, Oh, six grandchildren; Yvonne, Roger, Jeff, Lori, Dana and Lisa, thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, one sister; Plina White of Ashville, OH, two brothers; Marion Lewis of Clearfield, KY and Charles Lewis of Morehead, KY, several special nieces and nephews and his best friend, Tom Sherrick. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Humphrus, Delbert, George and Jerry Lewis and four sisters; Alta, Judy, Patty and Loretta.
Woodrow was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked in construction and retired as superintendant of blue prints in 1990. He was a member of the Church of God.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 1p.m. in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort with Evelyn Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg where military honors will be accorded by the Joesph Ellsworth White Post 483 - American Legion.
