Mildred R. Hicks, 94, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at 12:38 a.m. at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Friday.
Mrs. Hicks was born February 6, 1918 at Stoutsville in Fairfield County, Ohio to Lee Montel and Cora Jane Marks Reigel. She lived most of her life in Commercial Point. She moved to Washington C.H. in 1987 from Indian Lake.
Before her retirement, she was a bookkeeper and assisted her husband in the operation of Pleasant Corners Grain in Grove City.
She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Milton Hicks in 1985; a grandson, Matthew Davis in 2009 and a brother, Robert Reigel.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca H. and Stephen Davis of London and grandson, Daniel Davis and his wife, Alicia, of Evanston, ILL and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Amanda Township Cemetery with the Rev. Martin P. Francis, former interim pastor at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
There will be no calling hours.
