MARY ALICE STOLSENBERG, age 99, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 3:35 p.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on October 24, 1913 in Bainbridge, Ohio to Charlie and Cindra Myers Knisley. She had worked at the Jackson Glove Factory, Orner’s Grocery and also Beulah Wagner’s Catering Service. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert M. Stolsenberg Sr., sisters Ruth Huff, Alva Knisley, Sara Karns and Kathryn Lower, brothers Thomas, Everett, Wesley, Clifford, Orville, Herman and Edwin Knisley.
She is survived by her son Herb Jr. (Mary) Stolsenberg; grandchildren Bruce (Lorena) Stolsenberg, Susan Hamilton and Scott Stolsenberg and his fiancé Bettina; great-grandchildren Laura (Brian) Hottinger, Tony (Staci) Hamilton and Brett Hamilton; great-great-grandchildren Derek (Ruby) Hottinger, Breanna Easter, Matthew Hottinger, Lilly Hamilton and Jack Hamilton; great-great-great-grandchildren Allie and Aaiden Hottinger and Evan and Branden Easter as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Everett Miller officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
