JIMMY LEE DOTSON, age 47, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 10:55 a.m. at his home after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on October 2, 1965 in Belton, South Carolina to Hulon and Sadie Drake Dotson. He had worked at Wal-Mart Distribution. He had fellowshipped at the Greater Bethel Pentecostal Church of London and the Second Baptist Church of Washington CH. He was a D.J. and enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ricky Lerverette.
Survivors include his wife Tanika Lee Dotson, whom he married on July 2, 1999; his daughter Alaysia Dotson; siblings Hulon Dotson Jr., Burdell (Sandy) Dotson and Sarah (Duck) Cowans; special nephews and niece Marcelle Garrett, Aires Jones and Mallorie Garrett as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, 828 Columbus Ave., with Pastor Lester Sanders officiating. In keeping with his wishes, cremation took place. Memorial contributions are suggested to his daughter, Alaysia Dotson.
