DILYS PETERS, age 91, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 7:33 p.m. at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 30, 1921 in Fishguard, Wales, Great Britan to Richard and Mary Howells Williams. Dilys and her husband, Robert, whom she married on May 28, 1944 in Ogbouren, St. Andrews, Wiltshire, England, and moved to the Washington CH 35 years ago. She was a member of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church and also had attended the Unity Fellowship Church. She enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center where she was the official score keeper of chair volleyball and also enjoyed visiting the Deli and seeing her friends every day.
Dilys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert E. Peters and three sisters Doris Gardner, Betty Jakes and Peggy Lampit.
She is survived by her daughter Susan, and her husband Les Oesterle; granddaughter Nicole, and her husband James Mavis; great-grandchildren Ian and Isaac Mavis as well as special Sherry Haycook.
The graveside service will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Washington Cemetery with Keith Clary and Gayle Hansen-Brown officiating.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no viewing.
