The Highland County Agricultural Society will be able to construct a new shelter to be used during this fair thanks to one local farmer and America’s Farmers Grow Communities.

Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, gives farmers the chance to win $2,500 for their favorite local nonprofit organizations.

Charles Baldwin was the winning farmer in Highland County. He chose to direct the donation to the Highland County Agricultural Society for the shelter that will protect fair workers from the elements, serve as protection for an in-ground scale, and be used as storage space during the winter months.
