Authorities apprehended a man who fled the scene and then tried to escape on foot.

Authorities apprehended a burglar in Fayette County, Monday. Sheriff Vernon Stanforth says deputies responded to JD Equipment at 6:50am after 26-year-old Jeremy Self used a rock to break the entrance door window. An employee inside yelled at Self who fled in a black Buick with a towel covering the rear plate.

Authorities caught up to the vehicle and stopped it on State Route 41 after a short chase on a number of roads.

Self fled on foot but was apprehended after a short chase. He has been charged with burglary, vandalism, failure to display tags, suspension for not showing proof of insurance, and fleeing and eluding.
