Marijuana Grow Operation Busted

Hillsboro Police made two arrests

Marijuana plants were found in a home in Hillsboro, Wednesday.

Hillsboro Police received information about a Marijuana grow operation at the home on S. East Street. Officers arrived and spoke with a female in the home identified as 22-year-old Alexis Osborne of Hillsboro. Police then discovered a male identified as 29-year-old Jeremy Strily of Hillsboro in the basement of the home attempting to destroy the Marijuana plants and hide evidence.

Police took marijuana plants, grow lights, chemicals, digital scales, an air ventilation system and several other items into evidence.

Striley is being charged with tampering with evidence (a felony in the third degree) Possession of Criminal Tools ( a misdemeanor of the first degree) and Illegal Cultivating of Marijuana ( A misdemeanor of the fourth degree).

Osborne is charged with Obstructing Official Business ( A misdemeanor of the second degree).
