Seth Stonerock faces 6 years in prison

19-year-old Seth Stonerock has pleaded guilty to two counts of reckless homicide in connection with a prank that led to the deaths of two sisters in a traffic accident last August. In exchange for his plea, the state dropped charges of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with a traffic control device.

Pickaway County Judge Randal Knece told Stonerock in court he faces up to 36 months in prison on each of the reckless homicide counts. That will be announced at a later date.

The trial for Stonerock was to begin Thursday.

80-year-old Jeanne Shea and 85-year-old Mary Spangler died from injuries in the August 17th crash when they ran a stop sign they couldn't see at a Pickaway County intersection because it had been covered with cellophane by Stonerock.

An 18-year-old boy originally charged in the case, saw charges dropped against him when it became clear that Stonerock was admitting responsibility for the incident.
