Authorities say a man jumped off the I-71 overpass twice, Friday.

Authorities say a Cincinnati man tried to kill himself on the I-71 overpass, Friday. Fayette County Sheriff Vernon Stanforth says, shortly before noon, numerous 9-1-1 calls reported a man had jumped off of the I-71 overpass at State Route 38 in Paint Township. Authorities say 28-year-old Kidane Andom Chinie jumped off the overpass twice in an attempt to take his own life.

He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
