State Representative Bob Peterson declined to comment on possible interest in the position.

The name of State Representative Bob Peterson is being mentioned again in Ohio's political circles. Peterson declined the governor's offer to become director of the State Agriculture Department, which then went to State Senator David Daniels, of Greenfield.

Now, Peterson is being talked about for Daniels's vacant senate seat, which the existing senate needs to fill.

"They're going to meet here shortly with the county Republican chairs from the 10 counties that are part of the senate district, sit down, and layout a procedure," said Peterson.

"I'm sure there'll be an opportunity for anybody that might have an interest in running for that seat as a Republican."

Peterson declined to comment as to whether he was interested in the senate job.
