NWS Issues Winter Weather Advisory

The area is anticipated to get 1-3 inches of snow, Friday night.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for  Fayette, Highland, Ross, Pickaway, and Pike counties from 3pm, Friday, to noon, Saturday. Friday's forecast is calling for a 50% chance of snow in the afternoon; however, temperatures will drop to around 15 to 20 degrees, and snow will fall in the evening (100% chance), where accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are anticipated.

There is a 40% chance of snow on Saturday morning and afternoon, with highs around 20 degrees and night-time lows ranging from 10-15 degrees.
