$100,000 is coming to the Fayette County from Ohio EPA
A program is being made available to help fund the cost of septic system repairs.
Tami Combs, with the Fayette Soil and Water Conservation District, says the Ohio EPA awarded the Fayette Board of Commissioners $100,000 for the water pollution control loan fund, which makes the Home Septic System Program possible.
She says the Home Septic System program is limited to homes located within the Sugarcreek Watershed of Fayette County. Those septic systems, which must be declared failing by the Health Department, could be eligible for 85-100% of the cost share.
