Ryan Latham appears in a documentary up for a national film award
A Chillicothe native is appearing in a film documentary that is getting allot of buzz among film critics.
2001 Chillicothe High School graduate Ryan Latham, is the Adaptive Snow Sports Manager for "Challenge Aspen" in Colorado. His work with disabled athletes, which teaches them how to snow ski, is featured in the film "The Movement: One Man Joins an Uprising", which is being shown at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Actor/Producer Robert Redford, is one of the narrators for the film.
Latham also graduated from Ohio University.
Ryan Latham says the film became more involved than first anticipated, going from just a brief instructional film to a 42 minute documentary.
The Sundance Film Festival is being held January 19th-29th, with high hopes for an award, and possibly a nomination for an Oscar in the documentary category.
