Text messages and e-mails have the potential to get you into legal trouble, so the Chillicothe Police Department reminds the public to be careful about
what messages are sent to others.
"Anytime that you send somebody a text message and the recipient feels that it's harassing or vulgar or they are just plain annoyed by that text message then it becomes criminal," said Officer Pete Shaw.
He added that charges can be filed if the telecommunications harassment becomes repetitive.
