Gary Freeland says he is not guilty of crimes he is accused of from the 1990's.

A Fayette County man with ties to the Chillicothe community has been indicted for child rape charges that allegedly occurred in the 1990's.

60-year-old Gary Freeland was arrested Monday on four counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition on the secret indictment that came from Friday's session of the Ross County Grand Jury.

Allegations are that Freeland had sexual contact with victims in the mid 1990's that were age 4 and 11-years-old at the time of the incidents, that allegedly took place inside Tabernacle Baptist Church in Chillicothe.

Freeland was a volunteer at the church at that point in his life and later at several other churches while living in the Chillicothe area.
