Several high schools and colleges in the region are seeking a state grant that hopes to find solutions on reducing the need for so many remedial college courses.

Among the eight schools and three colleges seeking the grant, are Miami Trace, Chillicothe, Adena, Westfall, Pickaway/Ross Career & Technology Center, Ohio University-Chillicothe, Ohio Christian University and Wright State University.
The grant will be awarded by the Ohio Department of Education January 20th.
