Area educators are tryng to find ways to reduce the need for so many remedial classes in college
Several high schools and colleges in the region are seeking a state grant that hopes to find solutions on reducing the need for so many remedial college courses.
Diane Neal, director of Grants and Secondary Curriculum for Chillicothe City Schools, says the program would look at how high schools can better prepare students for college.... 12-14 Diane Neal Consortium
Among the eight schools and three colleges seeking the grant, are Miami Trace, Chillicothe, Adena, Westfall, Pickaway/Ross Career & Technology Center, Ohio University-Chillicothe, Ohio Christian University and Wright State University.
The grant will be awarded by the Ohio Department of Education January 20th.
