Luminaries will be set-up December 11th.

The Leesburg Luminaria, sponsored by the Leesburg Lions Club, will be on Sunday, December 11, beginning with the lighting of the luminaries at 5pm.

Many Leesburg businesses and organizations will be holding open houses from 5:30pm to 7pm and invite you to come and enjoy some holiday refreshments and fellowship. Santa will be making an appearance at the Post Office during those same hours. An added feature of this year’s Luminaria will be wagon rides around town to view all the beautiful decorations.

The pickup and drop-off point will be downtown Leesburg and the wagons will be running every 15 minutes. The presentation of the king and queen will be at 5:45pm at the Leesburg Library. The evening will end with a community church service at the Walnut Hills Church of Christ in Christian Union (Barger Road) at 7:30pm.

Luminaria kit order forms are available at local businesses. The kits are $8.00 each and will be available for pickup at Square One Heating & Cooling on Fridays, Dec. 2 and 9 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturdays, Dec. 2 and 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 937-403-6311.
