Superintendent Dan Roberts informed the public on what the school is doing to learn and move on

The Miami Trace Superintendent Dan Roberts held a conference call Tuesday evening for all those in the Miami Trace School District.

Roberts stated the main purpose of the evening was "to explain and answer questions about the recent classroom incident involving our teacher, a teachers aid and a student with disabilities at the middle school".

Roberts felt the mass amount of news coverage this incident has received has put forth an unfair and false representation of the school and its employees. He also stated that he has done over 95 minuets of television interviews recently and only 30 seconds of what he said actually appeared on the air. He says they felt that was very unfair to Miami Trace and the people who have supported the district for years.

Callers were encouraged to ask questions and to share their thoughts.

Roberts stated that anyone who still had questions should contact him at the school.
