NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE RELOCATION OF S.R. 134 IN THE CITY OF WILMINGTON
Notice is hereby given of a Public Hearing on the Relocation of S.R. 134 situated in the City of Wilmington. This public hearing will be held before the City Planning Commission on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, City Building, 69 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. A map of said relocation is available online at www.ci.wilmington.oh.us. A map is also available from the Clerk of the Wilmington City Council, Municipal Building, 69 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio for public for inspection.
The journalized route for S.R. 134 (described below) is proposed for abandonment and that the alignment of the S.R. 134 route through Wilmington will be relocated and journalized as follows [NOTE FROM THE SERVICE DIRECTOR: Persons using S.R. 134 in Wilmington will notice that this proposed journalization change will not result in a change to the route that they currently use].:
THE ABANDONMENT OF (currently journalized) STATE ROUTE 134 SITUATED IN THE CITY OF WILMINGTON, CLINTON COUNTY, OHIO, THE NUMBER REMOVAL OF STATE ROUTE 134 FOR APPROXIMATELY 0.91 MILES IN THE CITY OF WILMINGTON. THE ABANDONED ROADWAY WILL BECOME PART OF THE CITY OF WILMINGTON HIGHWAY SYSTEM.
More fully described as follows:
Northbound State Route 134 beginning at the intersection of North South Street and East Main Street, thence easterly along the alignment of existing East Main Street overlapping eastbound US Route 022 in the City of Wilmington approximately 0.16 miles to the intersection of East Main Street and North Lincoln Street, thence northerly along North Lincoln Street approximately 0.61 miles to the intersection of North Lincoln Street and Lorish Avenue, there terminate.
Southbound State Route 134 beginning at the intersection of North Lincoln Street and Lorish Avenue, thence southerly along North Lincoln Street approximately 0.53 miles to the intersection of North Lincoln Street and East Locust Street, thence westerly along East Locust Street overlapping US Route 022 for approximately 0.16 miles to the intersection of North South Street and East Locust Street, there terminate. The roadway to be abandoned totals approximately 0.91 miles. The abandonment will include all that portion of the existing route not necessary for the construction or maintenance of the relocated road or another state highway.
THE RELOCATION OF STATE ROUTE 134, SITUATED IN THE CITY OF WILMINGTON, CLINTON COUNTY, OHIO.
More fully described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of North South Street and East Main Street then extending northerly for approximately 0.56 miles overlapping US Route 068 to the intersection of North South Street and Lorish Avenue. Then easterly along Lorish Avenue for approximately 0.16 miles to the intersection of North Lincoln Street and Lorish Avenue.
This public hearing will be held at the above stated place and time and any interested person may appear and be heard.
