The Sheriff's office reports the driver fell asleep at the wheel, Sunday.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was called to mile marker 75 on Interstate 71 at 5am, Sunday. According to the report, 20-year-old Robert Carlisle, Jr., was northbound on I-71 when he fell asleep, drove off the left side of the roadway, and struck a guardrail. He then traveled back across the road and came to a rest in the stopping lane.
Carlisle and his passenger were not injured in the accident, but Carlisle was cited for failure to control.
