New mayor for Wilmington
New Mayors were the news from the voters in Clinton County.
Unofficially, the City of Wilmington replaced incumbent Democratic Mayor David Raizk with current Republican County Commissioner Randy Riley.
Elsewhere in Clinton County, David A Michael was elected Mayor of the Village of Sabina, while Noni A Wood was elected Mayor of Clarksville.
Wilmington Council members elected, at large, included Mark W. McKay, Bryan Siebenaller, and Robert Mead. Other precinct positions filled were uncontested. Mike Rickman and Tonya Eads were elected to Clarksville Village Council.
While it appears that Mike McCarty was elected to the Clinton Massie School board, the remaining votes were so close that a certain winner may not be clear until the provisional ballots are all counted. Jamie A. Rudy is unofficially the second highest vote getter, grabbing the second seat, but the margin is so narrow among all the contenders that those results could change with the official results.
All of the tax levies passed in Clinton County with the exception of the renewal levy for the Village of Martinsville. That one will definitely require a recount as that vote ended in a tie.
