27 Assault Charges Filed Against Teen

WCH student to face Judge on football incident

Twenty Seven seperate counts of assault have been filed against the Washington C.H. student who is accused of injuring dozens of Greenfield McClain football players earlier this month. The 16 year old player is accused of using a tack hidden in his glove to cause the injuries which happened after the game as players were shaking hands.

Prosecutor Anneka Collins's Office filed the charges in Juvenile Court on Monday. Highland County Juvenile Court Judge Kevin Greer said the first hearing on the case is set for November 7th. Greer said if the defendant enters a plea of not guilty then a trail will be scheduled at a later date.

The Washington C.H. teen has been dismissed from the team since the incident. His parents have stated that they will be seeking legal counsel.
