Seminar concerning Current Agricultural Use Value to be presented
There will a seminar concerning Current Agricultural Use Value Thursday, December 8th at 6:30 p.m. at the Roberts Centre,123 Gano Road Ballroom B, in Wilmington. CAUV is a differential real estate tax assessment program which affords owners of farmland the opportunity to have their parcels taxed according to their value in agriculture, rather than full market value. By now most eligible farmers have received new values for the soil types on their farms. Clinton and Greene Counties are being re-evaluated this year. Fayette and Warren Counties will be re-evaluated in 2012.
The Ohio Farm Bureau’s Senior Director of Local Affairs, Larry Gearhardt, will talk about the evaluations and explain what is involved in the process. The Ohio Farm Bureau will offer the seminar free to Farm Bureau members and $10.00 for non-members.
