Lots to vote on in November

Fayette County residents will have a lot to vote on this November as several will be running for council seats. In Washington C.H. three are running for city council, four are running for Jeffersonville council, and three are running for council in the village of Bloomingburg.

There are several candidates for school board as well with five running for Washington C.H. School Board and four running for Miami Trace.

Fayette County residents will have several issues on the ballot in the upcoming November election. The Paint Valley Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services will have a one mill, ten year, tax levy replacement to cover current expenses. The City of Washington C.H. will be asking voters to approve an electric aggregation, and the village of Jeffersonville will ask it's residents to approve a 2.9 mills renewal tax levy for current expenses.

Other issues will include a fire protection levy for Perry Township, a one mill, five year, renewal levy for the Paint Township Cemetery, adn some Fayette County residents will be voting on the Mt. Sterling Library tax levy. The library is asking for an additional one mill for five years. for current expenses.
