Program helps low-income households with heating bills

The Home Energy Assistance Program is available for those Fayette County residents who need a little help with this coming winter's heating bills. HEAP is designed to help low-income customers with a one time payment on a home heating bill. The program provides financial assistance to households that are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, or if the source has already been disconnected, if there needs to be new service established, or if the household only has 25% or less of bulk fuel in their tank.

PIPP is also available. The program makes payments affordable for low-income households.

To find out more about HEAP or PIPP call Angela Siler at the Fayette County Community Action at 740-335-7282 ext. 24.
