Money will help keep traffic accidents down
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office has received a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety. Sheriff Vernon Stanforth said the nearly $33 thousand dollar grant will be used to conduct high visibility enforcement, working overtime hours and also cunducting at least one DUI checkpoint in 2012.
Stanforth said that based on crash data, they have identified speed, seatbelt, motorcycle and alcohol enforcement as priorities for Fayette County. last year there were four fatality crashes in Fayette County.
