Council will talk about sidewalks and public transportation

Wilmington City Council will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. On the agenda is a first reading of an ordinance that would declare 415 Columbus Street to be surplus property. The ordinance if passed would allow Mayor David Raizk (resk) to enter into a purchase and sale agreement for the property.

In other business; council will consider a resolution to adopt preliminary legislation for a "Safe Routes To School" sidewalk project to install missing portions of sidewalk on the south side of Truesdell Street between Randolph Street and Nelson Avenue and on the east side of Nelson Avenue between Truesdell and Warren Drive.

And council will consider a resolution to submit a grant proposal to the Ohio Department of Transportation for the city's Public Transportation Program, and an ordnance to amend the Enterprise Zone Agreement with the county.
