Construction of new hangar will create new jobs at Air Park

Ohio Governor John Kasich was in Wilmington Tuesday afternoon to help The Clinton County Port Authority celebrate the announcement of a new hanger to be constructed at the Wilmington Air Park. Port Authority Chair John Limbert said the 100,000 square foot hangar will cost $15 million dollars to build and is expected to create 259 jobs.

Kasich said the new hangar is a good beginning for the Air Park and one of many ideas that he hopes will bring jobs back to Ohio.

DHL closed the Air Park in 2009 leaving around nine thousand people in Clinton and surrounding counties out of work.
