If not done properly can cause serious disease
The Fayette County Health Department is currently requesting that anyone who has received a tattoo in a private home or other facilities that are not "tattoo parlors", please contact the Communicable Disease Nurse as soon as possible.
This is in regards to potential exposure to a serious infectious disease resulting from improper handling and sanitation of equipment including like Hepatitis C, HIV and even mercer. Deputy Health Commissioner Leigh Thompson said the person who has received a tattoo may be unaware that they are infected with this disease and need to be tested right away.
