A former mayor spoke up for Hillsboro firefighters
At the special Hillsboro City Council meeting held on Thursday evening the resolution for the City to enter into an agreement with the Paint Creek Joint Fire and EMS to cover the city of Hillsboro was heard on second reading.
Former mayor Betty Bishop made an appearance, where she was lending her support to the firefighters of Hillsboro.
There is another special meeting of the Hillsboro Council on Monday, October 28th, at 7pm. At this time, the resolution is the only piece of legislation on the agenda and will be on 3rd reading and if passed will take effect, dissolving the Hillsboro Fire Department.
