The event is October 26th
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office will again partner with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and other law enforcement agencies across the nation for a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day to provide a venue for citizens to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs.
Sheriff Vernon Stanforth said his office will participate in the one-day effort October 26th between the hours of 10am and 2pm, by serving as a drop-off point for citizens to discard expired, unused, or unwanted prescription medications for destruction. The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked. The drop-off point will be located to the rear of the Sheriff’s Office Annex building, located at 110 W. Market Street in Washington Court House (across from the Huntington Bank Drive-Thru).
Sheriff Stanforth also reminds citizens that a permanent prescription drug drop-off box is located in the lobby area of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
