The Ross County Coroner is honored by the Paint Valley ADAMH Board
A man whose job is better known for working with "death", has been honored for his work "preserving life" in the community.
Dr. John Gabis, Medical Director of Primary Care at Adena Health System and Ross County Coroner, was named Advocate of the Year of the ADAMH Services Board.
It is awarded annually at the the Paint Valley ADAMH's board of directors meeting. The focus of the award this year is Treatment Works and People Recover.
Dr. Gabis discusses why he is involved in substance abuse and mental health issues, because it is something he "wants to do for his community".
