Authorities say Timothy Young is suspected in Tuesday's structure fire.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 22-year-old man with arson following Tuesday's fire at the former Mac Tool factory located at 1429 Old Route 35. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, his office was called to the fire at 7:35 a.m. and deputies spotted a man fleeing from the back door.
The Sheriff says the man was stopped and identified as Timothy Young, of Washington Court House.
Fire investigators determined that the fire originated along an east side wall in the warehouse and was ruled suspicious.
Young was arrested and charged with criminal trepassing and arson. Young appeared for arraignment before the Washington C.H. Municipal Court on Thursday, entering a plea of not guilty. He was ordered held on a $10,000 bond.
Damage estimates to the structure have not yet been determined.
