Police say the suspect vehicle was reported stolen from Pike County.
Two people face felony charges following a theft in Hillsboro. Police say they were called to Kroger at 2:35pm, Thursday, where the 80-year-old victim said she was putting groceries in her vehicle when a truck pulled up, a man reached out, grabbed her purse, and then fled.
Police say the suspect vehicle was being pursued and was later involved in an accident on US 62 in Fayette County. While there were three people in the truck, police say a witness identified Nicky G. Holton as the driver and Donald R. Henson as the man who took the purse.
Authorities say the victim's property was found at the crash site and that the truck had been reported stolen from Pike County.
Henson was charged with fifth-degree felony theft, while Holton was charged with fifth-degree complicity to theft.
The third person in the truck was not charged.
Other charges are pending.
