Bradley Smith of Hillsboro claimed ownership of the lab but has yet to be charged.
Charges are pending against a Hillsboro man following the discovery of a meth lab at an East South Street residence in Hillsboro.
Hillsboro Police received a report of a possible meth lab in a shed at the residence early Sunday morning. Upon arrival at scene, 23-year-old, Bradley Ray Smith, was found exiting the shed. Smith did not live on the property and owner denied knowing him.
An active meth lab was found inside the shed and Smith claimed ownership of it.
Agents from the Ohio Bureau of Investigation were called to assist in stabilizing and cleaning up the lab. Materials from the shed are awaiting lab analysis.
Smith was arrested on an active warrant through the Highland County Sheriff’s Department. Further charges are pending.
