Youth age 16-24 could get work through the summer program
The Highland County Summer Youth Program is offering area teens and young adults a chance to work in off-school months.
Greenfield Village Council member Brenda Losey told council about the new program that could put young people to work this summer.
Youth age 16 to 24-years-old are told to go to the High Tech Center or One Stop Office off U.S. Route 62, where they will set-up interviews at work places, where youth could be hired for a position. That person will be paid, but the company gets reimbursed through the state.
The jobs usually last through the summer months, but could even develop into a longer term position.
