Legislation to be introduced in statehouse
The push to make Ohio a right to work state moves to the statehouse. Two bills will be introduced that would keep workers from being forced to join a union to work at a unionized workplace.
One of the bills would be targeted at private sector workers with the other dealing with public employees. Chris Littleton with Ohioans for Workplace Freedom thinks it's the right move.
He says right to work states have higher rates of job growth, but opponents say it hurts workers by bringing lower wages. Democrats are vowing to fight the measure. Littleton's group has been gathering signatures to put the issue before voters. That could happen either this year or next.
