A company from Wilmington and West Jefferson will expand thanks to the assist
Governor John Kasich announced the approval of help for 15 projects that will create over 1,300 jobs and retain over 2,600 others.
Locally, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved 50%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for Timbertech Limited, in Wilmington. It's expected to create 85 full-time positions, generating $2.7 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $13 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project. Timbertech researches, develops and markets decks, railings and fences.
Also, the TCA approved a 55%, eight-year job creation tax credit for G-TEKT North America Corporation, which participates in new automobile development by auto manufacturers, in West Jefferson. That's expected to create 23 full-time positions, generating $745,915 in additional annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project.
