Authorities say they found suspected meth in a Lynchburg apartment, Thursday.
A Lynchburg man was arrested after authorities found what was believed to be a meth operation in a local residence, Thursday. According to a press release, the Highland County Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls of a chemical odor in the area of South Main Street at around 9am.
Authorities say the smell was coming from an upstairs apartment at 182 South Main Street.
A search uncovered several chemicals used in the illegal manufacture of meth, as well as a small amount of suspected meth.
37-year-old Coby Voss was arrested for a second-degree felony of illegal assembly. He was taken to Highland County Justice Center and is being held on a $70,000 bond.
Authorities say evidence will be sent to the BCI Lab for testing, and the case will be forwarded to the Prosecutors Office for review.
