A woman from Sabina has been missing since March 16th
The search for a missing Sabina woman, Casey Pitzer continues. The 32-year-old woman disappeared after midnight Saturday, March 16th.
According to Chief Detective Josh Riley of the Wilmington Police Department, Pitzer left a bar on the east side of Wilmington on foot around 12:30am Sunday, walking eastbound on U.S. Route 22 & Route 3. She got into a car which headed south on State Route 73. Shortly after entering State Route 73, Pitzer exited the car as it pulled-over to the side of the highway. Pitzer exited the car and ran east across four lanes of traffic and was last seen running toward an area where there is a retention pond that was created when the highway was built.
Air search teams were called in along with K9 units to aid in the search. A dive team searched the pond in the area where she was last seen. Indications are that she may be in the pond. Family and friends are continuing the search. At this time, the searches have not found the lost woman. The investigation is ongoing and searches will continue today.
