A Highland County woman was flown to a Dayton hospital after being shot Saturday evening in New Market Township.

The Highland County Sheriff's Office reports that 25-year-old Aslhey Franklin was in the home of 64-year-old Sandra Little at 5124 West New Market Road, when they had an argument over property, and Little fired multiple rounds from a .38 caliber revolver.  One struck Franklin in the upper back.

The incident was reported at 9:01 pm, and Franklin was taken from the scene in a private vehicle, which met EMS personel in New Market, where they had her flown to the Miami Valley Hospital.  Her medical condition has not been reported.

Little was taken to the Highland County Justice Center, but was released without charges, for now.  The Sheriff's Office is conferring with the County Prosecutor's Office, and awaiting test results from the Ohio BCI&I lab, and the case will be presented to a grand jury.
