Authorities suspect alcohol was a contributing factor.
An Akron man was injured in a Fayette County crash, Wednesday. Sheriff Vernon Stanforth says 39-year-old Reginald Ware was driving along US 62 at 3:40am, lost control in a curve, went off the road, and hit a ditch, shrubs, a commercial trash container, a fence, and a tree. Ware, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected upon impact. He was taken to Fayette Memorial Hospital and then later flown to a Columbus hospital for further treatment.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash; although, no charges have yet been filed.
